Study Techniques - ODENSE
At the university, you are going to write a lot of papers, but what are you actually supposed to show in these texts? In this course, we are looking at the academic paper as a genre based on the learning objectives from the curriculum. You will be introduced to the model of the 5 guiding elements in an academic text from the book The Good Paper, and you will see examples of academic argumentation.
Academic writing is, of course, also about language. Your written language has to be precise, scientific and correct, and it must pass on your scientific reflections and arguments in an effective way. But how to do that? We will look at examples of good academic written language.
This course is a general course, so you have to translate it into you field of study yourself, but hopefully it will be easier for you to see, how you work academically in your fi
