Distortion of scientific evidence
Join us for an enlightening session on scientific evidence production. Hosted by Professor Bjørn Morten Hofmann, Center for Medical Ethics, U. of Oslo, & Department of Health Sciences, NTNU Gjøvik, Norway.
What to Expect:
Scientific evidence production is undermined by a series of problems, such as ”the replicability crisis,” publication bias, bullshit research, spoof publications, interest-driven analyses, polarized research etc. Hofmann will discuss the impact of these challenges and ways that we can meet them in order to promote usefulness and maintain trust in scientific research.
The duration of the workshop's are approx. one hour, followed by an opportunity for questions, discussing, networking, discussions, and coffee, tea and buns.
