The Digital Humanities group at SDU Library would like to invite scholars interested in learning about the use of digital methods in the humanities to an introductory workshop focusing on text mining in Python and a discussion of the needs of the researchers in this field, both according to own research projects and the implementation of digital methods in your teaching.

The workshop will consist of three elements: a short, hands-on introduction to the programming language Python, specifically on text mining; an overview of other tools (like Voyant) and a discussion in the group on your needs and interests and how the Library can support you in working with digital methods.

The primary audience is people within the Humanities, but people with other backgrounds are also welcome. The workshop will be in English, but it can be repeated in Danish if there is a demand for this.

It will take place on Thursday the 1st of June from 10.30 to 14 (including a lunch break) in the meeting rooms at the Library.
