Library event with PAUSD: Science Communication with Lone Frank

Lone Frank is a journalist and scientific writer with a background in research (Ph.D. in neurobiology). She is award-winning for her ability to communicate research, writes in Weekendavisen, and has a weekly radio show about science and culture – ’24 questions for the professor’.

In this presentation Lone Frank will give PhD students and other young researchers inspiration for communicating their own research: Science must be communicated to society, says the mantra, but how do we make sure that the effort is not wasted, and the message isn't harmful? Lone Frank shares her personal story of the bumpy road from PhD student to communicator and offers her view of how to make science matter to people.
