WRDS (Wharton Research Data Services) - online training
If you do empirical work in Finance, Accounting, Management or Economics, WRDS might be a useful source: it provides instant access to more than 200 terabytes of financial data such as Compustat, CRSP, I/B/E/S, IRRC, Thompson Financial, Amadeus, Osiris, TAQ … among others.
Specifically, we will cover:
1. Downloading large datasets using the web-query interface (Compustat & CRSP).
2. Merging datasets and other research apps.
3. Using WRDS with STATA and PC/SAS to run intensive jobs.
4. WRDS Tools and Support
