Vincent Larivière holds the Canada Research Chair on the Transformations of Scholarly Communication at Université de Montréal, where he is associate professor of information science. He is also scientific director of the Érudit journal platform, associate scientific director of the Observatoire des Sciences et des Technologies (OST) and regular member of the Centre Interuniversitaire de Recherche sur la Science et la Technologie (CIRST). Over the last 15 years, Vincent’s research has investigated the characteristics of global research systems, determinants of researchers’ scientific activities, as well as the transformations, in the digital world, of the modes of production and dissemination of scientific and technological knowledge.
Gustaf Nelhans is Senior lecturer at the Swedish School of Library and Information Science (SSLIS) at University of Borås, Sweden. His research generally focuses on the performativity of scientometric indicators as well as on the theory, methodology and research policy aspects of the scholarly publication in scientific practice using a science and technology studies (STS) perspective. Presently his focus of interest is directed towards evaluation of societal relevance such as professional impact, i.e., citation performance in clinical guidelines.
Dorte Henriksen is research librarian at the University of Southern Denmark, where she works with bibliometric analysis and consulting. Her research focuses on scholarly communication, research evaluations, and researchers’ collaboration and publishing behavior. She recently handed in her doctoral dissertation with the title “Research collaboration and co-authorship in the social sciences” at Aarhus university.
