This course is aimed at international students and will be focusing on the academic paper as a genre. We will discuss the overall objectives of the study programme in comparison with the learning taxonomy by Bloom. The competence description in the curriculum is divided into knowledge, skills and competences. What does that mean for you as a student? And what does it mean when the curriculum says that you are supposed to independently identify, formulate and solve complex issues? We will be discussing the difference between passing on knowledge and transforming knowledge, and you will see what you should be aware of in order to avoid problems with plagiarism. There will be time for discussion and reflection.
